Was traveling in the area and was craving sushi. This place didn't disappoint. It's tucked away in a side street of a shopping center. Really cute inside with a locals vibe. Prices extremely reasonable and huge portions. Good quality sushi. It's small inside, but there is also an outdoor area. My waiter Zeus(sp) was awesome! Answered all questions and was personable. Plenty of parking since it's in the side street of a shopping area like a grocery store parking lot. I also had a car issue and the waiter there helped me out and went above and beyond and hung out with me until AAA got there. I definitely will be coming back on the next Carmel trip and highly recommend. Also double check the hours since most restaurants in Carmel close by 8.

My family and I were spending a weekend in Carmel and wanted a quick, easy lunch while we shopped. I found C U Sushi on yelp, liked their reviews and decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed! My niece ordered the chicken katsu bowl, my mom had miso soup and a poke salad, my husband ordered a few sushi rolls and I got their bibimpap bowl. Very tasty! The service was good, maybe a little slow in ordering our food but after that, we had no real complaints. The atmosphere is casual with seating both outside and inside. It's a great place to try.

Excellent sushi! We were driving through the area after a hike and found this convenient little spot. Very simple and unassuming sushi restaurant. Great service, the servers were very helpful with our questions. Amazing that they had on tap Sapporo, and Asai beer! We really enjoyed the nigiri salmon and yellowtail, both were very fresh. The rules were good, we had a Hawaii roll, and a baked salmon roll. Highly recommend.

Stopped here for a late lunch today. Sat outside on their patio. This is a casual restaurant with Saporo on tap. Perfect for a warm day to accompany fresh sushi. We started with hamachi sashimi. We added sliced jalapeños to give it a little kick. Nice ample pieces of fresh hamachi. It was served with a fresh carrot salad and a great bright green dipping sauce with wasabi. Not sure the content but it was yummy. Absolutely delicious. We had two rolls: the green monster and the spicy crunch roll. The rolls were pretty good. I would try others my next lunch here. This is little casual sushi place located in a shopping center. Great value and fresh fish! Give it a try.

This small restaurant is very big on taste. There are so many sushi restaurants in town. I was reluctant to try another! C U Sushi is unlike any other sushi restaurant I have been to. I ordered the California roll, which is deep-fried giving at the very crispy crust and a drizzle of some sweet sauce that just made it off the truck My guest ordered the Chicken BIBIMBAB, a first for her also, plenty of sautéed chicken thighs crispy fried over served in a bowl over rice. Flavorful and tender. Very pleased and we will return.

I absolutely love sushi and was excited to try C U Sushi two days ago when we were at Carmel by the Sea for a staycation. They are located within a big plaza and parking was very easy to find. We arrived a few minutes before opening, so we didn't have to wait to be seated upon arrival since were were first in line. Compared to Santa Clara County, the overall prices for their sushi and bento are cheap which was a pleasant surprise, minus their tea. Be forewarned. I do not recommend getting tea here because it is $4 per tea cup (not per teapot), a total gyp for four tea bags! It was my fault for not reading the menu for the cost of tea, but it felt like they didn't warn you about it when asking about drinks on purpose because most places don't charge $4 per person. We got the San Francisco roll, Sunshine roll, Scallop Dynamite roll, Lion King roll, a bento, and four roasted rice tea. Our whole family loved their food. The overall taste of their bento and sushi rolls were on point and fresh. Their bento is one of the best tasting ones I've had. In the order from my most favorite to least favorite, it would be their Sunshine roll, Lion King roll, Scallop Dynamite roll, then San Francisco roll, but they were all super tasty. Nothing was below 4/5 stars for their sushi. Ambience was ok. Tables and dining-ware were clean. There were about two other parties who came after us and another for to-go. Service was friendly and we were checked up on by our server who refilled our tea and asked how the food was, but just like other reviews, their service was quite slow as it took them a long while before food was served.
